Our Sponsors

The ADF activities are made possible thanks to the generous participation of our sponsors: the Almayuda Foundation, the South-East Asia Foundation, Kulara Water Company (Eau Kulen), HUMY NGO, as well as private donors based in Cambodia or abroad.
Previous important project donors were the US Department of State with the Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation (US AFCP), the previous Australian Government Overseas Aid Program (AusAID, now DFAT), UNDP Cambodia, or from the Cambodian private sector, the travel agency Terre Cambodge and the Frangipani Spa.
In 2008, we started with the generous support of the Mohamed S. Farsi Foundation (MSFF) and other private donors based in the UK. All this would not be possible without their initial input!
The ADF team would like to thanks all our other generous donors, who wish to remain anonymous, for their continuous or periodic support.

Almayuda Foundation

Based in Switzerland, the Almayuda Foundation is a private foundation which supports cultural, charitable and environmental projects throughout the world. ADF has received in 2014 a generous grant which is dedicated to the agriculture alternative livelihoods activities.
Since 2018, Almayuda is funding the WISH project, a Hygiene programme which started in two primary schools of the Kulen plateau (Sangke Lak and Khlah Khmum). It was extended to two others in 2020 (Ta Penh and Popel) then a fifth one later on (Phum Thmey). From 2025 onward, it is now reaching all the 7 primary schools of Khnong Phnom commune and 6 of the villages, benefitting more than 1000 children, 40 teachers and 4400 inhabitants.

Kulara Water Co.

Kulara Water Company is the only producer of natural mineral water in Cambodia, branded under the Eau Kulen name. The factory is located just at the bottom of the mountain, at the limit of the Phnom Kulen National Park.
Since 2018, ADF is supported by Kulara company to set up, grow and provide saplings from 3 tree nurseries (Sangke Lak, Ta Penh, Anlong Thom), to maintain these facilities and to reforest degraded lands inside and in the close perimeter of the National Park. More than 140,000 trees were produced and planted, over dozens of hectares. The tree nurseries are located in primary schools and act as an educational tool for environment.

South-East Asia Foundation

The SE Asia Foundation is a US charity set up in 2010 to give access and improve the education for young students in primary schools, around the South-East Asia region. ADF and SE Asia Foundation have started a collaboration in 2019, focusing on building basic infrastructures needed for two primary schools in Phnom Kulen: Sangke Lak and Khlah Khmum. Since then, the SE Asia Foundation has supported two more important projects: an agro-ecology project for 3 years (2022-2025) and the project dedicated to set up 7 libraries and 5 English classes to Phnom Kulen primary schools (2024-2026).

Humy

Humy is a French NGO set up in 2006. Its objectives are to protect the natural environment with local partner while associating the local populations and improving their existence. Since 2021, Humy and ADF started a partnership to develop related project in Phum Kulen.
Thanks to Humy’s support, ADF is helping the Community-Based Tourism Centre of Popel and Anlong Thom through equipment and trainings. We can also address the trainings and the promotion of local handicrafts with Kulen Crafts. A fourth tree nursery in Popel primary school was set up, to reinforce the reforestation activities on degraded lands inside the park. Finally, HUMY also supports the patrols in Phnom Kulen National Park.

Terre Cambodge

Terre Cambodge is a travel agency and eco-friendly inbound operator that offers a wide range of travel packages and tours in Cambodia. Committed to promoting responsible and environmental-friendly activities, Terre Cambodge organize tours to Phnom Kulen, including visits of ADF projects.

TDS and Terre Cambodge also supported a component focusing on the infrastructures and hygiene in Sangke Lak village primary school (2016-2017). In 2018, it was extended to Khlah Khmum primary school, jointly with the support of the Almayuda Foundation.
In 2018, Terre Cambodge supported rangers training and patrols in the National Park. Additional support also came in 2018 from Martin Vernier, tour organiser, dedicating a part of his profit to ADF primary school component.
From 2018 and up to 2024, Terre Cambodge was at the origin, with ADF, in the setting up, the training and the operation of 2 Community-Based Tourism Centres in Popel and Anlong Thom villages. In 2019, TDS and ECM provided funds to set up the Anlong Thom CBTC, and in 2024, TDS supported the setting up of two handicrafts workshops in this village and one shop inside this centre, within the Kulen Crafts project.
