The Archaeology and Development Foundation (ADF) is a British not-for-profit charity (n.1122750) and a registered international NGO in Cambodia. ADF’s scope is exclusively focused on the Phnom Kulen National Park (PKNP), 40 Km north-east of Angkor World Heritage site. ADF was set up in 2008 to investigate one of the earliest capitals of the Angkor region and its later settlements. In cooperation with governmental partners, ADF’s main objective is to ensure, that its archaeological research and preservation program is integrated with the conservation of the Phnom Kulen natural environmental and with the livelihood’s improvement of the local population. ADF’s activities has a panel of three integrated development components: 1) diversify the villagers’ economic activities through responsible tourism, sustainable and environmentally friendly agricultural practices and handicrafts promotion; 2) protect the parc’s biodiversity by zoning, demarcation, reforestation, protection and environmental awareness activities; 3) improve education and health through hygiene, sanitation and infrastructures in remote schools and villages.

The Archaeology and Development Foundation (ADF), implementing the Phnom Kulen Program, is seeking 1 Deputy Director / Development and Environment Program Manager
- Position: Deputy Director / Development and Environment Program Manager
- Location: Siem Reap town and Phnom Kulen National Park, Siem Reap province
- Position Type: Full time
- Expected travel: Approx. 75 % to project site and 25% to head office in Siem Reap town
- Report to: ADF Director
Qualifications and experiences
- Cambodian nationality, male / female, 30 years old and above
- Education level: Bachelors (preferably Masters) degree in Environment, Natural Resource Management, Rural Development or relevant discipline
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in a role relevant to the field of NGO projects managing and reporting
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Khmer languages
- Good ability to work with the community, local authorities and national partners
- Team building, motivation, analysis, and decision making
- Strong communications, proactive, and positive work attitude
- Good problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Competence in the Microsoft Office suite
- Committed to environmental conservation and community support
- Initiative, honest and work hard within the flexible time
